We love grilling and now that the weather seems to be getting better we are firing up both the Gas and Charcoal grills. Here is my favorite Rib Eye Steak. I have a couple of different rubs, however the simple one’s are the best one’s.
Rub for Steaks
2 tablespoons freshly ground black pepper
1 tablespoon kosher salt
1 tablespoon grated garlic
1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
¼ cup olive oil
4 Boneless Rib Eye Steaks, 1 inch thick-room temperature, at least 20 minutes
Heat Gas grill to 350-400 degrees for medium heat, before grilling the steaks turn one side off for indirect heat.
If using a charcoal grill, build the fire for direct and indirect sides of the grill.
Shake the seasoning together.
Brush or spray the steaks with olive oil. Sprinkle the shaken seasoning on both sides of steak.
I like to use paper towels dipped in olive oil to rub on grates before grilling the steaks.
